The Alma Consort are a young ensemble of professional choral singers. Primarily based in London, we specialise in highly precise recordings and specialist events. We perform complex music in a range of genres including classical, pop, and jazz, often working to highly pressurised short turnarounds.
Unlike other choirs, we are uniquely equipped to provide high-quality audio and video recordings in house as part of our hire fee. This service leads to significant savings and a quicker delivery time for our clients.
The Alma Consort is directed by Luca Wetherall and Izzy Mohan.
Luca Wetherall is a conductor, singer, and pianist based in London. Luca is a highly experienced musician working across multiple disciplines and genres. He is the Director of Music and Organist at St. Mary’s Acton and one of the Choral Directors at St. John the Baptist Holland Road.
He is also an academic musicologist and currently holds a Clarendon Scholarship at the University of Oxford where he is undertaking his doctoral research in popular music and working as a Tutor at the Faculty of Music.
Izzy Mohan is a pianist, conductor, and singer based in London. She is the Director of Music at St Mary’s, Harrow-on-the-Hill. Izzy is in demand as a collaborative pianist and has recently performed at the Royal Festival Hall, the Austrian Cultural Forum, and Oxford International Song Festival.
Izzy is currently undergoing an MMus at the Royal Academy of Music supported by the Ruth Harte Scholarship. She graduated from the University of Oxford with a First Class Degree in Music.
